I bet that Dr. Ratio is always operating on this fear he never voices that one day he won't be enough for Aventurine to keep on living. In a way he probably chases after Aventurine in the same way he chases after Nous' gaze. However Aventurine IS in reach, IS looking at him, and maybe if Ratio holds on just tight enough he won't slip away. In between times when they're together, does he quietly offer a prayer to the Amber Lord that Aventurine will come back to him safe and alive? Does he press his lips to Aventurine's forehead when he's asleep in his arms, wondering if it'll be the last time? Amongst all of his thoughts of a possible end to the man he adores, is there hope for the future, or is he forever trapped in the present, hoping his efforts are enough?

having a medical condition that makes me 10x more likely to develop skin cancer than the avg person as well as several kinds of photosensitive eczema = i can't go outside wearing short sleeves or shorts ever at risk of my skin exploding in rashes and i have to wear sunscreen on my face and hands whenever i go outside so i'm v familiar with sunscreen and which ones feel and smell like shit and which ones actually work because if im wearing one that Doesn't Work i experience the consequences immediately lol. aerosol sunscreens are useless just use regular liquid sunscreen

The fight against the code from yesterday was so weird. Since the dinner one Étoiles has always been alone, the admins even teleported him for some fights and yesterday the code just. Showed up

Maybe they want the others to be afraid of it because they've all more or less lost their fear of it since Étoiles is the only one targeted recently. But even then that's weird because none of the eggs are there so the stakes are pretty low. It's not a big deal if an islander dies, even if Étoiles needs to protect people, the only people who really need protecting are the eggs (the real danger on the island right now is psychological and Étoiles can't do much against that)

Maybe it's because Étoiles mentioned that he thought the "protect people" message could be linked with the drug thing. And the admins wanted to make it explicit that "no actually you need to protect people from the code"

Idk it's just weird. For now it doesn't make a lot of sense from Étoiles' lore pov or from the eggs' lore pov

It's possible that it's just a shift in how the code behaves, and that from now on it could just attack islanders at any moment and honestly If that's the case I'm here for it. But still, for now it's just weird

if theres one bit of scifiish feeling tech i wish we had it would be instant at-home blood testing stuff. like, blood tests can be so informative but theyre so much of a hassle and here at least theyre expensive to just go have done (both bc of the test itself and a docs visit that might be required to order tbe tests). its so dumb that i have to jump thru so many hoops just to figure out if i still got a vitamin D deficiency or if im good now or if i actually overdid it and i have TOO MUCH vitamin D now.

i wish i just had some Device in my home that i could just weekly stick my hand in and (pain free bc sci fi they figured out how to make needles not hurt) it just does a teeensy prick of blood and looks at it and the screen is like. yeah mostly looking good but you need a bit more vitamin A. also cool it on the vitamin D. oh and btw you might wanna check in with a doc bc you got some signs of early onset arthritis. i just want to kno whats goin on in my blood without making appointments and spending Money Dollars is that too much to ask???

(i assume st like this probs exists in star trek but probablt not even any blood pricking. that doctor fuck just points a thingy at u and says hey dude u need more calcium. idk i havent watched much but Yeah)
